Dalyan Holidays

Dalyan is a small peaceful village on the south west Mediterranean coast of Turkey and was originally well known in the area as a fishing village. Dalyan itself stands on the beautiful river, surrounded by the luscious greenery and the breath-taking mountain views.Not forgetting to mention the freshwater lake, the clear blue Mediterranean Sea and all the nature this small village has to offer.

With the protected 5km golden sand beach home to the Caretta Caretta turtle, the 3000 B.C rock tombs and the very friendly locals this is truly a great place to holiday as a couple, family or even large group. This small tourist village is very surreal and tranquil and is most definitely a place to relax and come back to year after year.

Dalyan still posses the power to amaze both holiday makers and locals with its endless natural beauty and character and is known to attract people back time and time again. This is mostly due to the local Turkish people welcoming everyone that comes and visits once as though they were long lost friends and they will open their homes and hearts for them as long as they live.

You can enjoy a nice meal on the river, keeping an eye out for the turtles, or relax in one of the many bars and restaurants that Dalyan has to offer. For those of you who enjoy a sing along or good old boogie, experience a night in one of the karaoke/dancing bars or even visit the one and only nightclub!! Even if you don’t participate, you can experience the entertainment from other tourists and locals.

I love the peace, no discos that you would notice the beach, the river and the people.  Everyone is so friendly and pleased to talk to you and help you.  I decided then that I didn't need anything else for a relaxing holiday.
